The IMO Maritime Safety Committee approved Guidelines for periodic servicing and maintenance of lifeboats, launching appliances and on-load release gear and Guidelines on safety during abandon ship drills using lifeboats, as set out in annexes 1 and 2, respectively, to MSC.1/Circ.1206.
