Examination of the HFE skills and knowledge required by those responsible for the design, equipment, systems and machinery involved in alterations to a vessel.

The three skill sets are defined as how these changes will impact how safely and efficiently crew perform; determining if HFE inputs are needed for a particular project; and knowing when and how outside HFE assistance is needed.
