Annual Global Dynamic Positioning and Offshore Energy Conference
The conference focused on the future of Dynamic Positioning (DP) training
At the end of September, we hosted our annual Global Dynamic Positioning and Offshore Energy conference in Bali, Indonesia.
Indonesia is one of the main hydrocarbon producers and LNG exporters in Southeast Asia, so it was a great opportunity to share best practices and enhance our understanding of the needs of the sector and this region specifically.
The two-day conference saw participants from around the world, representing our accredited training centres and expert delegates from the wider training and offshore business community, coming together to discuss the future of the industry.
The conference focused on the future of Dynamic Positioning (DP) training, the impact of new technologies on human decision-making and the importance of maintaining a high standard in the training and evaluation of Dynamic Positioning Operators.
For us at The Nautical Institute, it is important to bring together maritime experts, regulators and DP specialists from around the world to discuss how best to maintain high training and safety standards in the industry and how to best support Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for the highly skilled DPO workforce around the world.
We are grateful to our expert speakers, sponsors and the local team from DPTC Semarang for their support.
