Captain Hoddinott’s webinar will offer an illustrated overview of the International Marine Salvage Industry reviewing the current governing conventions and international legislation for marine salvage and the commercial and technical challenges faced by marine salvors. A number of case studies will be presented which will include emergency response (Lloyds Open Form and alternatives), wreck removal (BIMCO Wreck Removal Contracts) and environmental issues (preventing and minimising damage to the environment).

Our speaker 

A Master Mariner (FG), Mark served at sea for 15 years on a variety of ships up to and including the rank of Master. In 1982 he joined the UK-based company, United Towing Limited, as Salvage Master and has since spent the last 43 years within the salvage industry. He was Salvage Manager at United Salvage and Managing Director at Titan Salvage. He is currently an adviser to Brand Marine Consultants.
